Covast Joins RosettaNet and EDIFICE Communities to Promote B2B Standardization Across the Globe

ATLANTA - June 6, 2007 - Covast, a leading provider of business-to-business (B2B) integration solutions, today announced that it has joined two of the world's most influential B2B standardization bodies to help drive standard adoption across the globe. These communities include RosettaNet, the world's foremost governing body for B2B standardization, and EDIFICE, a RosettaNet-affiliated community providing B2B standardization for the European electronics industry.

Covast's decision to join these communities stems from its commitment to helping large supply chain hubs, like electronics manufacturers, and small and mid-sized suppliers conduct business more efficiently through B2B integration. RosettaNet's standards, which are widely deployed by OEMs across the globe, have become increasingly difficult for small and mid-size suppliers. As a result, many hubs are unable to fully onboard small and mid-sized suppliers because their complex supply chain systems are unable to integrate with their suppliers' less complex systems.

Through RosettaNet and EDIFICE, Covast will have the opportunity to influence and promote global B2B standards and implementation frameworks for manufacturers across the world. Covast has already begun promoting RosettaNet standards through its latest innovation, the Covast BBot.

BBot, the world's first supply chain integration appliance, automatically integrates B2B systems of large supply chain hubs with their smaller suppliers using simple, plug-and-play technology. BBot has been equipped with full RosettaNet functionalities, as well as many other B2B standards and protocols, so that small and mid-sized suppliers can easily comply with RosettaNet standards and best practices.

"RosettaNet and EDIFICE give us the forum to help ease the integration challenges of OEMs and suppliers everywhere. We are eager to help shape and promote B2B standards that will make supply chains more efficient than ever before," said Daan Scheer, CEO, Covast.
